Auditions will consist of a cold reading from the script
MEG (Margaret): The oldest daughter, the beauty of the March sisters | age 16 at the opening of the play
JO (Josephine): The second oldest daughter of Margaret March, Jo is a tomboy | age 15 at the opening of the play
BETH (Elizabeth): The second youngest of the March sisters, more quiet and shy than her sisters | age 13 at the opening of the play
AMY: The youngest of the March sisters, a proper young lady with a short fuse | age 12 at the opening of the play
LAURIE (Theodore Laurence): A rich young man who is a neigbor to the March family, attractive and charming, a love interest of multiple March sisters
JOHN BROOKE: A tutor to Laurie and love interest of Meg
AUNT MARCH: A widowed rich aunt of Mr. March, temperamental and judgemental, exceedingly vociferous
MR. MARCH: Father of the March family, a wise scholar and chaplain in the Union army
PROFESSOR BHAER: A German immigrant, poor, a mentor and friend to Jo
