COMEDY | Mertle Mae Tucker supports herself, her canary, a blind cat and her dad who spent a season in 1955 on the bench with the New York Yankees. Mert meets a young executive in a night class and her dad (who speaks regularly to an imaginary Casey Stengel) must decide if he is willing to be “traded to Cleveland” (an old-folks home there) to let Mert follow her big chance in life.
