I am thrilled to be directing PEG PASCHAL once again. It is such a pleasure to work with such an accomplished actress. This is my first attempt at a one-woman show and it has been very challenging and fun at the same time. Diana Vreeland can be described as a well-born social butterfly who dabbled in the world of fashion, exercising her unique ability to give the fantasy-starved American woman whatever she wanted to see. Diana was groomed by her mother to be like the women who graced the covers of the fashion magazines she came to manage. As Diana said, “Never worry about the facts, just project an image to the public.”
I hope that everyone will enjoy this funny character study of a real woman who lived in a world that not many people will experience. Diana was a visionary and her life was filled with many famous people. Diana said “People who eat white bread have no dreams” and “Without emotion, there is no beauty.” ENJOY.
